‘Desperate’ moment for Arroyo

Red Sox hurler Bronson Arroyo couldn't stop the high-flying Angels this weekend but he did get to serenade "Desperate Housewives" hottie Teri Hatcher – meaning his weekend on the Left Coast wasn't a total loss!

Hatcher, who admitted she likes the "peanuts, the carnation chocolate malt and the hot dogs with mustard and relish" better than the actual baseball games, caught Bronson's set at Left Coast Red Sox bar Sonny McLean's Saturday night.

Hatcher was there with her "Wives" co-star James Denton, a huge Sox fan who hosted the event, along with Denton's wife, Erin O'Brien, and Wisteria Lane regulars Doug Savant and Richard Chavira.

Also on hand for the Bronson show – which was a benefit for the Red Sox Foundation charities – were teammates Johnny Damon and Mike Timlin, country singer Deanna Carter, and "The Young and the Restless" star and Peabody homey John Enos, who gave Bronson big ups.

"I'm liking what I'm hearing," Enos told the Track.

Denton, who sat in with Bronson on guitar for "Dirty Water,"said he's hoping the writers will incorporate his love of baseball into the hit ABC show. But he knows America's Favorite Pastime may not fit in with Wisteria Lane's favorite pastimes. Not to mention that no one knows what, exactly, Mike Delfino actually does!

"Is he a plumber, a detective - who knows," Denton said. "It's so confusing."

Sort of like Manny. . . .
