Friday's game was eerily similar to Thursday's: The Reds and New York Mets traded leads, the Reds had one big inning of hitting, and the Reds owned the lead late in the game.
This time, though, the Reds held on.
They won 5-2 at Great American Ball Park before 31,922 fans and snapped the Mets' 10-game winning streak - the franchise's longest since 1991, and the National League's longest this season.
The Mets' streak also tied Minnesota for the longest this season in the majors.

He finished with his 20th save.
"I had a better selection of pitches and better spots, and my pitching was better tonight than it was last night," Cordero said.
Bronson Arroyo (8-7) continued to distance himself from last month's grim performance in Toronto. In the June 24 game, he became the sixth starting pitcher in major-league history to allow at least 10 earned runs in a game in which he retired three batters or fewer.
